ECIR 2026 in Delft

Christine Bauer has just returned from ECIR 2026, held in Delft, The Netherlands, from 29 March to 2 April 2026.

This year, she served as a Short Paper Chair alongside Sean MacAvaney and Mohammad Aliannejadi. The short paper track proved competitive, attracting 108 submissions, of which only 37 were accepted (≈34% acceptance rate).

Beyond her organizational leadership in the short paper track, Christine Bauer
also mentored two excellent early-career researchers at the ECIR 2026 Doctoral Consortium.

The conference proceedings are published by Springer in four parts within the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
